Kristine Kruta: cellist, producer, arranger

Hailing from Greenville, South Carolina, Kristine now resides in Brooklyn, New York. Both a committed studio artist and performer, Kristine has contributed to countless albums, film scores, and live performances since moving to New York in 2008. These include national broadcasts for America’s Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, T-Mobile, GE, Switched at Birth, Jane by Design, MTV’s Top 100 Music Videos, and soundtracks for Sundance Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival, First Run Film Festival, Woodstock Film Festival, and Brooklyn Film Fest. In 2016, Kristine composed original music for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network and multiple-award-winning feature film ‘72 Hours: A Brooklyn Love Story?’ which premiered at the LA Film Festival.

As a solo cellist, section player, and arranger Kristine has also collaborated with several independent and commercial recording artists including Chelsea Cutler, Jeremy Zucker, Metro Boomin, Eagles, Vince Gill, Kaki King, Lauryn Hill, Casey Benjamin, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Aminé, Anderson .Paak, Shawn Mendes, K.Flay, De La Soul, Common, Estelle, BJ The Chicago Kid, Brandy Clark, Jacky Cheung, Rob Roth, hip-hop violinist Damien Escobar, OBERHOFER, The Wonder Years, Ace Enders, Violents & Monica Martin, Tim Kubart, Scott Bradlee, Robyn Adele Anderson, Rob Roth, Infinity’s Song, and more.

In 2021, Kristine won a GRAMMY award alongside her band and cast for Best Musical Theatre album for the Broadway show JAGGED LITTLE PILL, featuring the music by renowned songwriter and vocalist Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard.

She currently tours as the Principal Cellist for the Eagles 2020-22 US/Canada tour.

When not holding the cello or working on music, Kristine enjoys cooking, yoga, and vegan ice cream.
